Veterinarian
Dr. Packard joined DePorre Veterinary Hospital in January 2012. She graduated from Michigan State University Veterinary School in 2010 and her undergraduate studies included arts management and business marketing at Eastern Michigan University.
Dr. Packard’s areas of interest are feline medicine and preventative care medicine. Working with people and animals to strengthen the human-animal bond is one of Dr. Packard’s favorite professional activities. She enjoys working at DePorre Veterinary Hospital because the clients and entire hospital team are committed to providing the highest level of care possible.
Dr. Packard obtained her Low Stress Handling Silver Certification in 2018. Dr. Packard is also a member of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association and Feline Veterinary Medical Association and is a certified Cat Friendly Veterinarian and Fear Free Professional. Dr. Packard also completed a certificate as a Certified Peaceful Euthanasia Veterinarian in 2026 and is working on a Feline Heart Health Certificate currently.
Dr. Packard shares her life with a black Labrador named Max and three cats, Heathcliff, Beckham, and Pixie. She enjoys working on positive reinforcement and cooperative care training with all of her fur kids. She lives with her partner, Paul, in Oxford, Michigan where they enjoy boating, kayaking, and playing in a pool league together. In her free time, she enjoys tap dancing with Detroit Tap Repertory, reading, and gardening.
