Meet Our Skilled Veterinarians

Dr. DeHondt received two Bachelors of Science degrees during his academic career: one in zoology and environmental studies from Michigan State University, and the other in civil engineering from the University of Detroit Mercy. He then went on to earn his DVM from Michigan State University.

Dr. Fox received her Bachelor of Science in Zoology and her DVM from Michigan State University. She joined the DePorre team shortly after graduating in 2005.

Dr. Sara Brothers graduated with her bachelors and masters degree from Michigan State University, followed by her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2014. She has a strong clinical interest in surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care of patients.

Dr. Regan Castle joined DePorre Veterinary Hospital in 2021 and returned as a veterinarian after earning her DVM from Michigan State University in 2025. She enjoys providing high-quality, collaborative care with a special focus on surgery and dental health.

Dr. Clarke started at DePorre in 2024. DePorre Veterinary Hospital's stellar reputation at local referral hospitals had the hospital in his crosshairs for when his military service was complete.

Dr. Ashley Fairbairn joined the DePorre team of veterinarians in 2021. She attended Michigan State University for her undergrad and veterinary school, graduating in 2015.

Dr. Goodman graduated with her DVM from Michigan State University in 1998 and joined the DePorre team in 2018.

An Ohio native, Dr. Lewis came to Michigan after veterinary school to do a one-year internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists. After completing his internship in 2001, he was happy to join the staff at DePorre Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Packard joined DePorre Veterinary Hospital in January 2012. In her veterinary career, her areas of interest include animal behavior and feline medicine.

Dr. Brittany joined the DePorre team in January 2020. She graduated with her veterinary degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.

Dr. Olivia Viney joined DePorre in 2024 after receiving her DVM from Michigan State University. She is a Fear Free and Cat Friendly Certified Practitioner with special interests in surgery, soft tissue medicine, dentistry, geriatric care, shelter medicine, and acupuncture.

Dr. Witherell joined the DePorre team in 2003. She received her DVM from Michigan State University and her undergraduate degree in psychology and biomedical science from Western Michigan University.

Dr. Jules DePorre is one of the founding owners of DePorre Veterinary Hospital. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science and his DVM from Michigan State University.
