Dr. Corey was born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan and brought her pets to DePorre throughout her childhood years. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science and a DVM from Michigan State University. She became a DePorre employee while in high school and after practicing further north for 11 years, she returned to DePorre in October of 2013 as an experienced veterinarian. Beyond her work in the hospital, Dr. Corey has published two children's books, Being Brave for Bailey and Staying Strong for Smokey, to help parents introduce the difficult subject of euthanasia and pet loss. Her books are available for purchase at DePorre Veterinary Hospital and at beingbraveforbailey.com.
Dr. Corey married her college sweetheart, Adam, in 2005, and they and their two daughters, Addison and Ashley, live together with their very special mutt, Vinnie. Dr. Corey enjoys kickboxing, yoga, and pilates, as well as spending time with her family and friends.
