DePorre Veterinary Hospital is looking for the right person to join our busy multi-doctor team.

We are a large day practice that is focused on consistent high quality medicine for our patients with strong client communication connections for a long, trusting relationship. We are open to full or part time schedules for our associate veterinarians to keep a healthy work-life balance. Our high standards include being AAHA accredited, Cat Friendly Certified, a Fear Free culture, and top notch equipment for quick and efficient diagnosing. Mentorship and collaboration are key to help our doctors learn and grow and give their patients the highest level of care. Our team of receptionists, technician assistants, exam room assistants and licensed veterinary technicians work with our doctors to maintain a calm and professional environment for our patients and their families while sprinkling in fun whenever we
can.

Mentorship
We love to pay it forward and help the newest generation of veterinarians. We appreciate the diversity and richness that comes from a collaboration of many minds working together for the united passion of helping pets. We strive to make sure each person is getting the work/life balance that they need while appreciating that is different for everyone.
We want to make sure you feel comfortable and confident with doing what you spent so much time learning in your education process. We have a large team of doctors and all are happy to help in any way they can including looking at diagnostic images, reviewing patient blood work, putting their hands on a pet to feel what you have discovered, going over an intriguing patient history together, etc. Having more veterinarians involved in a case is welcomed and adds value to the client experience while providing the best care for each pet. Our doctor's desks are arranged so it is easy to communicate with each other and to glean valuable information as well. You are never alone and always have support and help within your reach. We have regular doctor meetings to keep communication lines open and to go over interesting and challenging cases together. We have an organized onboarding program to help you get comfortable with our standards easily and efficiently and to have a resource close by.
We have multiple doctors highly experienced in surgery and dentistry. We know these are areas that can be stressful and where strong mentorship is desired. We are committed to helping you advance your skills and knowledge.
Our support team also helps you along the way. You are paired with a technician every day and they help show you the ropes and where items live within the hospital as well. We have a pharmacy team that fills prescriptions. They can answer questions or find medications for you. Our technician assistants and exam room assistants help to keep you on track with time management too. Our receptionists know our clients well and can help you navigate their expectations for a positive experience. We work closely with local referral hospitals as well and have them on the ready to offer help and advanced care.
